By accessing or using EverydayDeutsch (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding agreement under applicable law to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, use the Service only with appropriate consent from a parent or legal guardian.
Service Description
EverydayDeutsch is a free language learning application that provides German vocabulary, phrases, drills, and conversation practice for real-life scenarios. The Service is provided as a Progressive Web App (PWA) and Android application.
Accounts and Security
Most features are available without an account. If you use optional sign-in/sync features, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account access and for activities performed through your account.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including attempts to gain unauthorized access, interfere with infrastructure, reverse engineer protected components, scrape or redistribute content in violation of law, or use the Service for unlawful activity.
Intellectual Property
The content, design, and code of EverydayDeutsch are the property of their respective creators. The application is open source and available under its respective license. Educational content (vocabulary, phrases, scenarios) is provided for personal learning use.
Educational Purpose Only
EverydayDeutsch is an educational tool. It does not provide legal, medical, immigration, or professional advice. You are responsible for decisions made based on app content.
Third-Party Services
Some features rely on third-party providers (for example Firebase, Cloudflare, Resend, and PostHog). Their services are subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from use of the Service.
Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Learning progress is stored locally on your device by default.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated, if required by law, or to protect users, systems, or intellectual property.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
